14-year-old Grant Botti, from Arkansas, woke up in excruciating pain in one ear and reached in to try and figure out what was going on.

He pulled out a live four-inch centipede, which must have been curled up right next to his ear drum.



His mother Angela bagged it up and took him straight to the doctor, who found abrasions inside his ear where the centipede had been lurking.

The teen had no idea how it got there, although said he had been swimming outside recently.
