Alicia Keys is delighted she pushed back the release date of her latest album so she could include a duet with pal Beyonce - because the pair had such strong chemistry in the studio.
The No One hitmaker had initially planned to release The Element of Freedom on 1 December, but pushed it back two weeks so the record could feature her Beyonce collaboration, Put It In A Love Song.
And Keys is sure she made the right decision.
She says, “We had a lot of fun. It’s nice that we just celebrate each other’s careers, that’s what the song is about, coming together to empower each other. This song was meant for us at this time.
“We’ve become really good friends. We’ve both been in the business about the same amount of time and both signed to Columbia records together when we were 14.
“It was like a party in the studio, the energy was so high and the chemistry was genuine, we’re doing the video for that one next.”
Hopefully this can be a hit for her. She hasn't made much luck in the US with her single releases this era. I think this is the first time she is having more success in the UK than the US.

Hopefully this song is used in a marketing campaign its too high energy for our radios and Youtube/Vevo's only (cause we know MTV don't play videos)
