iTunes help, it doesn't recognize media file...
edit: PHEW! All good hunties. For anyone who may need the solution (and so this is more clear, what you're looking for is your library): I just used a backup library found in the "iTunes" folder. I held down shift as I opened iTunes in the Menu, which then prompted me to locate a library. I went to "Music" > "iTunes" > "Previous iTunes Library" then selected my most recent library. My application settings remain the same after the sync and I found my own library which was previously missing for whatever reason. Yay!
I tried getting answers elsewhere but there was ambiguity to them and none of them directly answered my question. I hope I can get a precise answer here. I use Windows 7.
I moved my "iTunes Media" folder from my "Music" folder to an external hard-drive temporarily. I moved the file back to "Music", but when I opened iTunes on my PC, all off my music, applications and whatnot did not show. I checked to make sure that iTunes still tracked the original location of the "iTunes Media" folder under Advanced Settings; it's still the same.
So to fix this, I dragged all my files from "iTunes Media" into the iTunes library, despite the folder not being recognized by iTunes. The stuff in that folder were last backed up two days ago, so that's their latest version on my PC. I'm just worried that when now, if I sync the content in my iTunes library and my iPhone, it will get confused and all the settings on all my applications will reset. I really don't want that to happen.
My question is, will the settings on all my applications on my iPhone reset if I sync it now?
I don't know what exactly happens when you sync. Do the applications on my iPhone just get sent to my iTunes Media folder and update their respective file? I sure hope so lol.
