Why did Leann Rimes get backlash but not Angelina?
Something I've never understood. Both Leann Rimes and Angelina Jolie slept with married men, but only Leann was considered a homewrecker. Is it a double standard?
The women always get the blame. If your man is cheating, go after him instead of a woman who owes you nothing. Sure, it's not the best look to sleep with taken men but it's not fair to only blame them.
But more importantly, let's discuss how Leann has been completely absent from country music since yet Jason Aldean is roaring up the country charts despite both cheating on their partners.
angelina was already seen as a bad girl wild child, leann had more of a good girl image?
maybe it was more expected of angelina. either way the men should be the ones getting the blame since theyre the ones straying from their relationships.
Country audiences are usually men/women with more conservative points of view, and of course, infidelity to them is the ultimate sin for a woman to commit in life

Even if the roles were reversed, the woman would get blamed.
