The last time I got pulled over was for driving the wrong way on this one way street. Sounds bad but even the cop was laughing when he came up to the window. It was really dark at this intersection and I made a turn that was a little early and went in the wrong partition. So I immediately corrected myself by turning around. Turns out the only car on the road about a mile away was a cop. His words were "I thought it was funny but since I saw it I had to pull you over." I wasn't asked to get out of the car and do a sobriety test or anything. He checked my stuff and bid me a nice night.

I get the whole "exercise your rights" thing but a high tension traffic stop is not the time and place for it. Be respectful, comply with what you're told to do and if anything went awry deal with it after the fact.

That was so disturbing to watch. Both of them were out of line, but the cop took it to an entirely different level the moment he tried to yank him out of the car.

Why did he shoot him AFTER he tasered him though

and for the driver, he should of just listened i mean if you dont have your license and your driving just suffer the consequences.. did he expect to get off free without being charged?

It's this new stance to try to take on the police and exercise your rights. People get really uppity to cops by throwing laws and telling them how to do their job. I mean, this cop doesn't know if you're hauling drugs or weapons. Like, it's the law for you to show your proof of insurance, your vehicle's registration and your driver's license. You have to have car insurance, they need to make sure. Your vehicle must be registered, they need to make sure you're driving your car and that it's registered. You need a license to drive, they need to check that and that your identity matches up.

I couldn't tell for certain but it looks like he was tased and then tried to run away. The cop then gave pursuit and then fired. You don't run away from a police officer. Especially after he has already told you that you're being detained.

I agree with this. And I think tumblr is partially to blame. Quasi-law students trying to teach you how to behave in front of law-enforcement is what's going to get you in trouble or worse. You DO whatever the cop tells you to do. In my country, **** like this would not happen. But I mean if you know about how fire-frenzy these cops are why are you trying to stir **** with them?

Couldn't watch the vid, I just get extremely angry/upset/down when i see real-life deaths. Sad these cops are just progressively getting worse and worse despite all eyes being on them rn. RIP

tasers are supposed to paralyse you until the police can get you under control, so he was either tasered wrong or they aren't good enough, they are supposed to stop people from getting shot.

Sorry, but since when has it been proper police procedure to shoot an unarmed suspect because they decided to run? There is no excuse for the unnecessary amount of force the officer used, so stop trying to justify it and his actions.
