Welcome my fellow sisters to ATRL Class. This week I will teach you about the terminology that is used on ATRL. This 'slang' originated in (black) gay culture years upon years ago.

Lately I've been seeing a lot of people misusing several words. Either they don't know the exact meaning of the words, or they are completely clueless as to in which situations to use these words.

Here's the tea



Shade - Making sly, underhand comments about someone and or acting in a rather casual, suspicious manner towards someone. Shade is something that needs to be DETECTED.

Example of shade:



Expose - When one reveals information about someone without their approval.

Drag: When one or something gets completely roasted or dissed by a comment.

Example of a drag:


This blog.

Clock - To call someone out, to educate someone on a topic, to tell the truth or shed light regarding a certain subject.
