I just had a disturbing thought...if Bieber can top Canadian iTunes with this and have a sizeable lead over Tik Tok all week, he could get #1 on the official chart - but the disturbing part is that then the first Canadian artist to top the Canadian Hot 100 would be Justin Bieber instead of respected (and imo quite brilliant) artists like Nelly Furtado, Michael Bublé, Alanis Morissette, Hedley, or Nickelback.
Fingers crossed it gets low top 10.

Nope, not on the Canadian Hot 100 (launched in 2007). Nelly Furtado had her last #1 in 2006 on the defunct Canadian Singles Chart with Promiscuous.
