Did people dismiss Carly before giving her a chance?
I don't know about you guys, but to me, it seemed like a lot of people wrote off pop legend Carly Rae Jepsen before she even had a chance to prove herself. Before she dropped Kiss, the best album of 2012, or even before she released "Good Time" which also ended up being a Billboard top ten, there seemed to be a large public sentiment that she would be a one-hit wonder. Could that explain the low sales of Kiss and the inability of "I Really Like You," which is easily the best pop song of 2015 thus far, to smash? Could people have thought that "Call Me Maybe" was so ingrained in pop culture that she would never be able to top it, and thus didn't bother listening to anything else she had to offer?
