The coyote would be smaller and much more manageable. But on the other hand they are viewed as pests and vermin, so you would have to keep him on a leash at all times for his own safety.
The wolf is more appealing but is larger, more expensive to keep, probably more troublesome and in a worst-case scenario, more dangerous.
