While the movie was at it's peak in the Theater, we saw a leaked Alternate Ending of Paranormal, where Katie watches Micah, then goes downstairs and screams. Micah goes downstairs, we hear some fumbling and then footsteps coming upstairs, getting eerily louder as it gets nearer.
All three clips are set up the same, except the theaterical release, where Katie goes on the other side of the bed and stares at Micah for a while longer.
In the first Alternate Ending, though, she comes back up and rocks back and forth near the bed for two days. Her friends comes over and screams when sees Micah dead. Calls the police. They come. She stops rocking and moves toward the hallway and the police shoot her on the spot.
I believe this is deleted on Youtube. It wasn't supposed to be leaked so they made another? I don't know.
If you bought the movie on DVD/Blu-Ray there is a new one that I never saw before! You can watch it here if you'd like!
A cooler alternate version would be if Micah grabbed the camera and went downstairs to find out what was wrong.
I know she was screaming in pain, but wasn't Micah stupid enough to grab the camera when she screamed about a spider?
I think "knowing" what on went downstairs would've been scarier. Seeing her in the kitchen with a knife in her hand with an evil glare, attacking Micah. Oh well, I'm sure with their profit they might re-do the movie with better plot substance and CGI effects.

I kind of like that they didn't have him do that though. I don't think anyone in their right mind would think to grab the camera if they heard screaming like that. The instinct of fight or flight would kick in and Micah decided to go fight.
True, but I'm saying, when she screamed about the spider, he still grabbed the camera. I guess her scream was more blood curling that he knew it was far worse than a spider

Don't be home alone in the dark. I always get parnoid cause of this movie's effect on you. The movie itself isn't scary, it's when your home alone that puts terror into perspective.
true. after watching the movie i don't want to be alone, the movie itself isn't that scary (it's scary but not the scariest), but it lefts you thinking
