I think the worst baby name I've ever heard is NIGAR. Very popular for baby girls in Azerbaijan, as well as the real name of Nikki Jamal, the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2011.
Other tragic names include Crocifissa (which means "crucified" in Italian) and Catena ("chain").
I like Catena...I mean, I could see why someone who speaks the language would find the name stupid or w/e, but as someone foreign to the language, I think it's pretty.
