R8's lead came out 4+ months ago & still no album. Why?

The lead single for R8 came out over 4 months ago now. Only 2 songs have been released since, both in a messy fashion and neither made a huge impact, and now nothing.
It's not like FourFiveSeconds bombed, and the GP was ready to embrace BBHMM too, but Rihanna/her team seem to have forgotten about it. American Oxygen never had a chance tbqh.

I can't tell if you're being
A) sarcastic about the thread being done yet again, or
B) agreeing how weird it is that someone would take so long to release an album post opening single.
It's pretty usual. Urban artists release a thousand lead singles before their album and even some pop artists have done that recently (BTW coming 4 months before the album), so it's not that bad
She's probably re-thinking the album. There was no way that they were going to launch an album with these singles after seeing how poorly they performed compared to her previous eras.
I'm expecting a new "lead" single in September and a standard Rihanna album release in November.
