Katy canceled BBMA after hearing Taylor will premiering BB

Having jetted home from the Asian leg of her tour specifically for the show, Katy apparently had a customised dress on hold and an eyelash extension appointment booked in that she had to miss as a result of not going.

Anyway, it was apparently boyfriend John Mayer who talked Katy out of going, supposedly reminding her that Taylor and her band of 'mean girls' would be there.
Err, not being funny but we've never seen anyone less mean looking than Lily Aldridge, Hailee Steinfeld and Zendaya.
"John convinced her it was a bad idea," the friend explains. "Katy realised she couldn't stand the idea of the cameras being on her face as she had to watch Taylor win every award with all her friends applauding her."
Why would she go in the first place? She's not promoting and these kind of awards tell them who's winning. Even if they don't it was pretty obvious Taylor was gonna sweep
