I know they've already done a messy prequel with Timon/Pumbaas story but what if they did one with Mufasa and Scar? I was watching this and thought it would be pretty interesting to see what Scar and Mufasa were like when they were little and what made Scar so evil.

The Lion King is one of my all time favorite movies!

I wouldn't be here for a prequel though. Prequels and sequels are problematic because it is difficult for them to capture the magic of the original and I don't think anybody would do right by Lion King; the movie would probably be a CGI mess.

Also, I'm pretty sure Hamlet didn't have a prequel
