Isn't there an article about something like this with the female judge once a year? When Shakira was on it was to say that the other judges didn't understand her and thought she was stupid and so they didn't gel. When Gwen was on it was because she took too much time with her make up too. There's a theme here it seems, female judges are apparently always the diva making the poor boys suffer.
The whole make up comment makes absolutely no sense, especially since they are preparing for a live show that has to be on time and so she most likely starts getting ready to be out on that stage before Adam Levine starts applying his bronzer.
