Edward's Top 7 Kosher Games of 2009
I was gonna do 10, but I said 10 is what all the bitches are doing so I did 7. Yes, 7.

I have not gotten very far in this game because I don't have patience. It's taking a classic and putting a new spin on it. I wish they'd have done SMB3 like this. HINTHINT.

Smackdown vs Raw is a staple in my gaming collection. This years game was great. I actually got the achievement for lasting 1 in the Royal Rumble to win a 30 man rumble. I was amazed. If it can help a ****** player like me do this, it's a success.

This is a great game. I ordered this and Scribblenauts at the same time and sadly, Scribblenauts controls screwed it over. I think this game is great. Who knew controlling Bowser could be so awesome?

The best game franchise released the follow-up of Diamond and Pearl and of course it's just as amazing.

This game makes it feel like you're playing real tennis. It's too bad that the league I found went under real quick because I wanted to be in a tennis league, but it flopped. Oh well, I have like 10 slams.

Ah, a game that I *****. It is amazing how much fun a trivia game can be, especially when playing with others.

Yes, no surprise here. It's awesome. Finally, a terrible player like myself can get good killstreaks with care packages. It has balanced the game.

1, 2, and 7 are fine. The rest of the list is a little weird though. If you ever get a pokemon question wrong on 1 vs 100, I will hunt you down.
Oh and 1 vs 100 is only fun to you because we know 1 particular person who is useful at helping us out.

I don't know whether to consider this a top 10 best WTA players of 2010 or favorites. I think it's a mix of both.
10-Francesca Schiavone (Italy)
-Schiavone once peaked at #11, one of three Italians who hit that spot (one later broke the curse), but this year she had one of the best years of her career ending up at #16 to finish 2009. She made the QF at Wimbledon, she had 2 runner up finishes in the smaller tournaments (losing to Bammer and Stosur) and winning only her second career title at the Premier event in Moscow. She ended the year by playing on the Italian Fed Cup team which destroyed the Americans.
09-Caroline Wozniacki (Denmark) and Victoria Azarenka (Belarus)
-I put the pusher (Wozniacki) and the brainless ball basher (Azarenka) together. They have two completely different styles, yet both worked. These two kids both entered the top 10 this year. Azarenka started her season winning her first career title in January, almost knocked out Serena at the Australian Open, won another title in February, a SF in Indian Wells and a win over an injured Serena for the Miami title in March. In May, Azarenka made the SF in Rome, QF at Roland Garros, QF in June at Wimbledon and then her results sort of fell off from there. Wozniacki on the other hand consistancy with several QF or better appearences including a win on green clay in the US in April as well as a runner up finish the week after. A runner up finish at the Premier Mandatory in Spain, a title on grass in June, a title in August on hard courts, her first Grand Slam Runner up at the US Open. Not bad for a pair of 19 year olds.
08-Elena Dementieva (Russia)
-Elena had an interesting season as well, she started off well winning titles in the first two weeks of the season, followed up with a SF loss to Serena Williams. She then continued well and was upset by Amelie Mauresmo in a Paris final soon after, a QF appearence in Dubai, back to back SFs in April. She then went to Wimbledon and played amazingly against Serena Williams in a heartbreaking SF loss which many consider the women's match of the year. Dementieva then played well enough to win the US Open Series with 2 SF and a win in Toronto, before being upset by Melanie Oudin in the second round of the US Open.
07-Svetlana Kuznetsova (Russia)
-Sveta's 2009 was much better then 2008 which started off with a QF appearence at Australian Open. She then made a SF appearence in Miami losing to Azarenka. Kuzzie turned her season on when the clay tournaments started winning Stuttgart and following it up with a runner-up in Rome. Roland Garros, Svetlana won her second career slam after Serena basically gave her the match in the QF. Svetlana would then win a title in Beijing in October to cap off a great season.
06-Kim Clijsters (Belgium)
-There's not much to talk about Kim in 2009. Her long awaited return was winning at the US Open and not doing much in the two warmup tournaments before. Clijsters tore up the US Open field with wins over Marion Bartoli, Venus Williams, Na Li, Serena Williams and Caroline Wozniacki. Hopefully with Justine Henin coming back, Kim can stay on top of her game.
05-Serena Williams (USA)
-Some call her GOAT, some call her Queen Ree, but you can call her the current world #1. Serena Williams captured 3 of the 4 grand slam doubles titles with sister Venus. Serena's season can be wrapped up very quickly. Australian Open and Wimbledon she took both of those slams. Her biggest upset of the season was her loss to Azarenka in the Miami finals, where she was injured, and could have let big sister win in the SF for her to possibly beat Azarenka. While Serena hadn't seen a title that wasn't a slam, she swept the Year End Championship with wins over Dementieva, Kuznetsova, Wozniacki and a pair over Venus, including the finals, she only lost one set in the tournament and it was to Venus.
04-Kateryna Bondarenko and Alona Bondarenko (Ukraine)
-These sisters may not be as well known as Venus and Serena but they both are on the rise. After a while of being much higher than her sister, Kateryna finally broke into the top 30, and passed her sister. As a team, they were runners up in Hobart in January, singles wise, Alona made two QF appearences through April. Alona finally made a final in Warsaw in May, which she lost in 3 sets. The sisters were runners up in Budapest at the start if July, and finally won a title the week after in Prague. Kateryna Bondarenko had her best showing and the best showing by either sister at the US Open where she made the QF. It should be interesting to see both seeded at the Australian Open.
03-Vera Zvonareva (Russia)
-After finishing runner up in the 2008 year end championship, Vera started the year at #7, but injury keeping her out of any possible points from Roland Garros kept her from making it to the year end championship, which made her a wildcard at #9 where she finished. Her season started well with a SF appearence at the Australian Open. A small title in Thailand in early February followed. In the Dubai tournament, which her side of the draw fell apart, she could only make it to the QF. In March, she defeated defending Indian Wells champion Ana Ivanovic to become the new title holder of possibly the 6th biggest tour event of the year. She didn't do much thereafter but if you saw her match versus Flavia Pennetta at the US Open, you saw one of the best tirades of all time. After losing 6 match points in the second set, Zvonareva got her leg retaped, which led to her angerly ripping it off and screaming like a banshee.
02-Venus Williams (USA)
-Venus Williams had such a halo on her head to start the season when she dominated the tour towards the end of 2008. Everyone expected a SF or better appearence from Venus, what they got was a 2R boot by Carla Suarez Navarro. She took the title in Dubai and followed it up with the random clay title early in the season in Acapulco. A loss in Miami to little sister in the SF, a match which Serena was injured, could have helped Venus capture another title in Miami. She took a SF appearence in Rome then followed that up with a loss to Serena in the finals of Wimbledon. Venus was then upset by Marion Bartoli in the finals of Stanford. At the US Open she lost to Clijsters in a very odd match which had each player winning a set 6 to love. She finished the season as the runner up in the year end championship by losing to Serena. Together, Venus and Serena captured 4 doubles titles, 3 of which were grand slams.
01-Flavia Pennetta (Italy)
-The former Mickey Mouse queen broke the Italian curse. No Italian had broken into the top 10, but Pennetta broke the spell and stayed in the top 10 for about 2 months. She had the choice in playing at the year end championship for players who had won International events or join her country women for the Italian Fed Cup, she chose the second option, which led to her not finishing the year top 10, but #12. After not getting off to a good start in 2009, Pennetta picked it up with a runner up in Acapulco, where she had been in 6 consecutive finals. She made an appearence in the SF of Stuttgart and then a QF on grass in the Netherlands. In Palmero, Italy, she won her first title of the year and her first title in her home country. She followed that up with her first Premier title in Los Angeles. While she lost the following week in Cincinnati, Pennetta had one of the longest winning streaks of the season at 15 conseutive matches. People considered her a possible contender and under the radar for the US Open title, which she lost to Serena Williams in the QF. During the season, Pennetta picked up 3 doubles titles, 2 with Gisela Dulko and 1 with Sara Errani.
