How do you feel about plastic surgery?
A controversial subject. Try to respectful.

I personally don't know how I feel, I feel almost weirded out by it, and don't understand how you could even begin to go through with something so drastic, or where your mind must be to do something so dramatic to your body, especially when you're so young, I understand injuries, birth defects etc, a lot of celebrities believe they have to get it done to stay relevant ala Joan Rivers (Which she loved show business, and each to their own) but I think I'd rather age gracefully, rather than change who I was born to be.
But then their is the people who believe change what you don't like about yourself, and I can't say they're wrong, I don't really know.. It could be my issue, and like I said each to their own, I don't judge people with plastic surgery, or discriminate, I don't even disagree with their choice, because it's not my place, and I truthfully just can't comprehend it. That might be my own issue, I think I'm an open minded person, and people should do what they like, but I don't personally think I could ever do something like that.
Also notably their is the transgender community, which undergo numerous surgeries, which to me seems so scarier, but obviously for them it's scarier to be trapped in a different genders body.
ps. i'm not trying to be hateful, or bash anybody, it really isn't that big of a deal, because it doesn't affect me in any way, i'm just curious on your opinion, i hope this doesn't come across as an attack, like a homophobic person toward gays, it's not supposed to be that at all. and I hope nobody else is hateful nor bashes somebody with plastic surgery, because it obviously could be a huge insecurity for them. I only posted Iggy's pic because she has been open about her plastic surgery in the past.

I didn't read the OP, but I feel just as much about it than I feel about stop signs being octagonal
If someone has plastic surgery, that's awesome for them, but it doesn't affect me in any way. I don't know how some people can judge other people about what they do with their body, let alone even care

I can't really judge people for getting it but I don't see any point besides injures and birth defects like you said.
I 100% understand why transgenders get it though.

I don't have any issues with them or those who get their faces/bodies done IF they are 21 and above

There's nothing wrong with it unless you come out looking busted. If you're unhappy with yourself and can afford to "fix" the Problem, why not?

If people want it, let them have it if it makes them happy.

Its ok only in moderation, also for health reasons.. One example could be like getting your nose done to help with breathing. But If you do too much, eou end up looking like this

Do What U Want i guess. If it is socially acceptable to make other permanent changes to the body like tattoos and even braces then plastic surgery isn't that big a of difference.
Although, I have heard of stories where some people travelling in Asia need to get a certificate or something because they visit a country to get PS and then leave with their cosmetically enhanced face which looks so different that they are thought to be a different person based off their passport photo

it is a choice & their body, not ours
so all rights & decisions are theirs whether it may have benefits, consequences or not, in the long run

It's something I personally would never do, but I'm completely fine with other people doing it. Their body, their choice. And like Nemo said, it doesn't affect anybody but the person whose getting it, so there really isn't any reason why someone should be against somebody else choosing to change their appearance.

The world is a superficial place, and there's no denying that good looking people are playing life on easy mode. If plastic surgery makes someone feel better about themselves, or helps them get places, then who are we to judge?

I'm considering one. I don't see it as bad as long as you don't go over the top. Subtle nose job/liposuction/jawline shaping etc. aren't bad at all imo.

I never understand people who oppose plastic surgery. It's not their body so it's none of their business.
I will definitely get a boob job. I never liked my boobs and I want them smaller and a different shape. I'm also considering a nose job but i'm not too sure whether i'll do that or not.

I think people should do what make them feel better.. However a LOT of people don't need it and are just insecure.
I also wonder, when Iggy or someone else who gets a new face, has a child and the child inherits her natural looks; how would she go about making the child feel beautiful?

Morally I don't think there's anything wrong with it
If you wanna do it go right ahead you have every right to
But I personally think most of the time it doesn't look good and it's obvious you've had work done
I prefer a more natural look.....the results of plastic surgery can be quite tragic..as seen here with Iggy

As long as they get it after their body has finished developing, I really don't care. Children getting it is a bit much to me, unless of course it's reconstructive surgery or something like that.

I think plastic surgery is great for people who are born with screwed up body parts (busted nose, wonky eyes, crooked teeth etc.) but I do have problems with people using plastic surgery to completely change normal facial features just because of their minor insecurity.

I mean, I'd rather someone have 'imperfections' rather than hide their true selves, but it's not 'bad' per se.
