A teenager has been jailed for 12 years after he attacked and raped a 91-year-old woman in her own home.
Kriss Strachan, 18, forced his way into the pensioner's house in Bellshill, Lanarkshire in July last year and repeatedly punched her during the horrific sex attack.
After his mother discovered what he had done, he handed himself in to police saying: 'It was me. I cannot believe I done it. I'm scum.'
His victim has been left so traumatised that she has abandoned the home she lived in for half a century, and frequently tells relatives that she wants to die.
