"There will always be a ****ing huge rock band. There's a lot of rock out there," guitarist Winston Marshall is quoted as saying. "[But] I don't think it's what our generation will be remembered for. I think it'll be Kanye West and Rihanna." Frontman Marcus Mumford added that while he isn't a fan of Rihanna, he does rate West: "I think Kanye is sick. He's the only rock star left."
The pair also revealed that they attended the rapper's "mindblowing" recent gig at London's Koko, which also featured performances from grime MCs Skepta, Novelist and JME. "It was ****ing amazing," Mumford said of the intimate show. "There were a bunch of cool London grime MCs doing stuff. But then he gets up and just blows them all away. Says one word and the whole room just...that's rock'n'roll, to me."
