Little Big Town is standing behind the lyrics to their latest hit "Girl Crush" despite the track being pulled from several country music stations.
Complaints over the lyrics have caused the song to be pulled from multiple radio stations, including 104.3 FM in Boise, ID.
One listener wrote into a Texas station demanding that the track be pulled from regular rotation, saying, "You are just promoting the gay agenda on your station and I am changing the channel and never listening to you ever again."
LMAO. I always looked at the lyrics and found nothing wrong about it. Now i realize a female is singing and everything makes sense lol. They are still reaching, this is not enough to pull the song from radio
I just listened to it for the first time. To me it's more about a woman being jealous of another woman being with a particular man (or woman) at certain points in the song.
I thought the kiss lyric was crass though. Not the ''I want to kiss her lips'' part but the ''so I can taste you''... It was obvious they wanted to temper the country radio audience with that line but I guess they even underestimated the level of homophobia that they the audience still have.
