You may have noticed that “Call Me Maybe” singer Carly Rae Jepsen looks a little like a young Carly Simon. Now, the two Carlys are evidently planning to work together at some point in the future.
Speaking to People magazine, Carly Rae says she gets the Carly Simon thing “a lot,” adding, “Which I take as a big compliment. I’ve spoken with her a few times over the phone.”
Then, she adds, “We might have a little surprise cooked up for later this year.” Whether that surprise might mean she’ll be performing live with Carly Simon, recording with her or writing with her, remains to be seen.
Carly Rae is currently out with her new single, “I Really Like You,” WHILE her new album, E·MO·TION, will be out this summer.
