Discussion: A year without dating/relationship.

I have been in relationships since november 2009 till this day i had 4 each one had a two months apart. I told my friends i want to be single for the 1st time in 5 years for a whole year, they started laughing saying that in general it's difficult to boycott dating/sex for a year.

So my main discussion is, is it easy or hard to have a whole long year without anything related to a significant other ?

I have dated many people, I've been with 2 guys this year but other than that I've never been in a relatioship. I don't feel like I need someone, and if I do, it's someone I can't really have so the only thing that remains is to avoid my need. lol

It's possible and it's great.

My love life has been similar. I ended up a 2 years relationship 1 year ago and it has been the greatest year of my life. It's good to have time for yourself. If you need someone to talk to or to hang out with, you have friends. If you need someone to satisfy you, you have Grindr, Tinder, etc.

I don't even understand how one can control when they want to date and when they don't. Don't you just go with flow when you fall in love with someone? I've been single since 2013 not because I chose to be single, but because I simply just haven't met anyone I have feelings for.
