11 multiplied by a number with two digits equals the sum of the two digits placed in between the two digits.
Example: 11 x 12 = 132
11 x 45 = 495
11 x 18 = 198

If you have 10^2 = 100,
then 9×11 = 100 - (1^2) = 99
8×12 = 100 - (2^2) = 96
...
3×17 = 100 - (7^2) = 51
Also:
217
003
____ ×
21+30+600
____ +
651
1^2 = 1 (0+1)
2^2 = 4 (1+3)
3^2 = 9 (4+5)
4^2 = 16 (9+7)
5^2 = 25 (16+9)
etc.

If you get asked something crazy like 28 * 51 or something (which you won't) but just break it down:
28 = 30-2
so 30*51 = 1530
2*51 = 102
1530-102 = 1428 and so on.
