Show bosses have now said that his suspension will be made permanent.
“Dan was suspended during the last series of TOWIE, and Lime Pictures and ITV have since decided he will not be returning to the show. We wish him luck in the future,” a spokesperson for the show said.
Dan – who has a son Teddy with Megan – branded her a “dirty c***” and a “s***” as he quizzed her about a new love interest in the chilling recording.
While she insisted that she hadn’t bedded anyone else, he told her to stop lying and to “shut your f***** mouth”.
After issuing a threat to knife her, he was then heard swearing on son Teddy’s life that he would carry it out if she were to sleep with someone else.
In a second recording, Dan could be heard telling Megan: “It won’t be funny when you’re in hospital.”
