It’s a bit depressing when you see the depths British singers will go to obtain a bit of US star sheen: paying through the nose for producers; doing photoshoots atop skyscrapers; wearing Beats headphones in their videos even though they’re not getting paid for product placement. Then Kentucky’s Tinashe strolls along with a single full of pan-pipe flutes, unexpectedly impeccable production, and a video shot in an industrial park, and still has more star quality in a single fake eyelash than Jessie J does in her whole body.
That is so unprofessional and the dumbest comparison ever. Jessie J is very talented and a much better vocalist than Tinashe as well as a better songwriter. The only thing Tinashe has is dancing.
And secondly, Tinashe is working with Max Martin in the hopes of breaking big in the U.S. so she is no different than Jessie J or the other British stars trying to make it big. They are ALL the same.
Comparison aside that's always been my issue with Jessie..well one of them, she has talent but she's just not a celebrity, she doesn't have that star quality about her at all.
