Will Katy Perry provide the soundtrack to Hillary Clinton’s campaign?



Hillary Clinton is officially running for president, but one question still weighs heavily on everyone’s mind: Did she ever take Katy Perry up on that offer to write her campaign theme song?

Back in June, the pop star tweeted (and posted on Instagram) a photo of herself grinning alongside Clinton at the former secretary of state’s book signing.

“I told hillaryclinton that I would write her a “theme” song if she needs it…” Perry wrote. Clinton — or whoever manages her Twitter account — responded, “Well that’s not a Hard Choice. You already did! Keep letting us hear you Roar.”

The reference was to Perry’s anthemic song “Roar,” which the Ready for Hillary super PAC had used in a video last March.




Since then, Clinton has made an entrance to Perry’s pop songs on more than one occasion. “Roar” played again as she stumped for Democratic Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes in Kentucky back in November. And at last month’s 30th anniversary gala for the pro-life political action committee EMILY’s List, Clinton — the keynote speaker — took the stage to Perry’s song “Unconditionally.”

Hillary used Katy's songs so many times.

Well, now Hilary has the tween vote. Oh wait, tweens can't vote? Good. Think for yourself, don't vote just because someone famous endorses them.

Katie Perry's fan base isn't old enough to vote anyway.

Much like her taste in men, Perry has questionable taste in politicians as well.
