I genuinely think this will make a difference or help just a little bit. Besides, new music at the end of the week when everyone has the weekends off > new music when everyone has to go to work/school. No more staying up for album leaks from Australia or wherever

The current tracking period is Monday to Sunday iirc.

What they could do is let the week before run from Monday to Thursday instead (so only 4 days), and from then on, use Friday to Thursday as the tracking period for the album chart

R8 should be the first album to come out then

Yeah, eventually they'll announce what it'll be in the US but it's gonna be from Friday to Thursday night in the UK.
