I think it's a really good phone performace wise and stuff (Better than the Android I had) but the lack of apps is really annoying

No I don't like those tiles I think they look ugly. Also yeah I heard there's a serious lack of apps. So I don't see any good reason to get a Windows phone.

LOL yes i did because my iOS was stolen and I was dirt-poor so it was either get a Windows phone because they are cheap as hell or get a prehistoric Nokia before they went into the smartphone business. It was terrible, there was NOTHING to do, the app store was bare as ****.

Someone told me that Microsoft is apparently trying to work out a deal where they import the Google Play store along with their own apps, if they do that then they might stand a chance at competing but right now nobody in their right mind would settle for their wack-ass phones. Couldn't wait to get rid of mine. The only good app I found in their very limited selections was something someone had made that allowed me to watch all the episodes of Family Guy. And that's all I did. For MONTHS.

Not at present but I have in the past and will probably go back with windows 10. Depends on the apps, but i'm confident they'll improve the situation by year's end.

I actually smashed my 1520's screen for a second time and was NOT having the effort of replacing it again. I just like WP and Android, for different reasons.

Now, at this point, i'm just waiting for W10 to take off and for the new flagships.
Design wise, i prefer windows phone over both Android and iOS.

I was waiting for you to make an appearance in this thread! OP probably doesn't know how many Windows Phone fans there are on ATRL.

On that note, I miss Windows Phone. Had to switch for work to a basic Note 2 and the S4. The geek in me enjoys Android but I mostly consider these phones a downgrade to my 920. The Note 2's battery was kind of mind blowing though, props to that for an older Android device. It's better than the S4, practicality-wise. But the build quality is just embarrassing on the Galaxy line after you come from a Lumia (ignoring the S6).

I had all the apps I needed for my personal life on WP bar Snapchat. We had 6snap for the longest time though, Snapchat only became a problem recently.

Why did the smartphone discussion thread die? Let's bring it back so I can geek out about the ZenFone Zoom, which may steal me away from getting a Windows phone this fall . I can't wait for Windows Phone 10 and hopefully will be able to switch back soon but I'm definitely not switching back until it's been released officially, not going to go back during the transition period.

I am waiting on win10 flagships to be announced.
