Did you lose your religion? Do you look at people different now? I do. I actually get hypnotized by RADICAL people of faith when they speak of such characters and theories, truths.. i mean truths.
Its pretty frightening actually.
Yep, I was baptized Catholic and I was sent to Catholic private school but I still never made confirmation. To be fair though, my mother flits in and out of it herself and she always gave me the freedom as far as religion goes.
I was never going to be a full-fledged Catho anyways - from the age of 6, I questioned the integrity of the Trinity idea. From there, it's been a slippery slope especially after I discovered that I liked boys just as much as I did girls, then I was just disillusioned with the entire idea of a religion telling me my love for someone was immoral. Like go suck it, I am not the one singing in the choir at Sunday mass and banging out someone else's husband every other night.
I went to sunday school just to stay with my friends, but my parents are atheist and I don't think I ever believed in a god or a spiritual force. I'm glad they let me decide whether I want to believe or not without trying to influence me tho.
Yea, that's me too. Most of the content of these religious books and teachings is political + cultural, and I'm always @ people like my religious parents believing it's actually the word of god.
I do believe there is a force, an energy, a mother nature tending the cycle of life and Earth and that we should be one with it.
I was raised strongly Christian but now I don't think I really believe in anything. Religion is hard to shake though. It was quite deeply imbedded in me and so I still have a lot of guilt over things because of believing so strongly that the bible is The Truth for so long.
