It's a tough career, my sister is a nurse and has seen/heard some tragic things, but you can't let emotions get in the way of your concentration when you are dealing with patients. So you want to cry, but put on a professional face at the same time
I used to volunteer at a cancer clinic for young children and a few of them passed. when the nurses and doctors received the news they were devastated every time. I didn't know the kids but I could see that the staff was always really affected by a loss.
