as for taylor swift, she's just a JOKE.
Teen act.

I wouldn't call her a joke, especially not based on her being a teen. It's just that Taylor's number of debuts isn't as impressive due to the fact that she got some of those by releasing a new song every week before her album was released last year, while the others didn't need to do such thing.

Taylor doesn't deserve to be ranked among any of those icons, let alone topping them.

In 2 years all of these artists are going to be knocked down by some newbies, though.

That's unfortunately true, although I'm sure at least 2 of the divas will go on to get more.

its much easier now to break records with singles especially than before .. but if you actually look at how each artist got their top 20 debuts .. it prob was 10x harder for the legends to do so .. right now teens are on itunes 24/7 downloading bieber, t-swift, miley, n jo bros !! .. so i dunnu

Agreed. ANY artist is capable of what Taylor is doing.

People are just mad that their faves aren't in her situation and some how can't pull it off like she is.

I'm an MC fan, and love both Janet and Madonna as well.

But all these Taylor hate is uncalled for. She is simply huge now, you just have to accept it. I don't know how long her career will last though.

Right. Music has changed so, with so many artist releasing so many singles in short time spans double at a time, the records set by them will always be superior, imo.

In a way we're both right.

There are many artists that release digital tracks before the release of their album, and many artists her get just as much promotion as she does.

It's not my fault that people are more interested in her instead of those other artists and download her songs which make her gain Top 20 debuts.

Ok, I thought you're trying to suggest that anyone can accomplish what she has, which is not true.
