This interview was done 3 weeks ago so they're further along in the recording process than they were then. It shouldn't be too long of a wait now.

I hope they did a good job with "Pretty Girls." The leaked lyrics are terrible and if they turn out to be real, I will not be checking this girl group out.

Nobody over the age of 12 knows who either of these people are. I'm a stan on a pop music forum and I don't even know who they are. I have a hard time believing the GP will give them backlash.

They probably have rough demos and now they're doing the actual recordings that'll make the album.

No one knows/cares about that other than online fangirls and tabloid readers.

It only took them 2 weeks to record Salute and it was so ****ing amazing so

2 weeks just to record but the writing process was months-long. They usually don't do final recordings until after the songs are all written.

This is definitely the longest they've worked on an album so it'll be interesting to hear how it affects their music.

I meant recording 70-100+ songs is so physically demanding and I thought that was what the girls did. Like I said, still impressive though!

I don't get how artists can write so many songs. Carly Rae Jepsen wrote like +300 for her upcoming studio project, Beyonce did the same, Gaga wrote a bunch too for ARTPOP I think it doesn't seem like a good practice imo.

I guess they know what works for them but eventually I feel like it'd just ruin the quality of the song trying to squeeze out another one. I write songs and although I don't have a hit, I like taking my time on individual tracks to make them as complete as possible. I'd rather have 10 strong songs than +100 weak ones.

But I guess quantity over quality works better since you have more options incase the label doesn't like those 10 songs. Maybe I'll try doing what they do and see how it works for me. I can do it but man that's a lot of songs!

I really really like them. Hope they are not sucking themselves like others.
