WiMP Design Appreciation Thread.

As you may know, Spotify and Tidal share the same playlist design. But where did this beautiful format originate from? A designer called Søren Clausen, who made this for WiMP and inspired other streaming platforms to use it.

WiMP is owned by Jay Z now, which gives him the rights to use the format.

Why Beyonce stans cares so much about TIDAL?

It was closed because people were under the impression that it was based off a members post.

Now I have receipts.

Apple and Android copy each other back and forth over small **** like this (just the nature of competition.) The icons are one thing, but Tidal doesn't look like wimp.

But the new Spotify UI was released in April/2014?

And who even cares really, it's all flat design where everything looks the same.

You and others were spreading guesswork presented as facts, like how Spotify had this playlist feature 'for a long time' and how it had it before WiMP. If you do a quick custom range image search it easily dismisses this.

So no, I will not stop. Not when a designer is getting discredited. #TIDALforall

Yes, but as you can see from the images they released none of them showed the design in the OP.

N1 cares for that flop.

But there isn't specifically this design, which was what people were fighting over.



In response to the last post, this picture dates back to April 2014. On the side you can see the 'genre' feature.

And? Who cares? I'm pretty sure that 99% of us will NEVER use Tidal and pay $20 for it.

Then pay $9.99 for it.

It protects artists' interests more than Spotify. It's agenda is great, and your support should align with it. I rather have my money go to artists more than big corporations and stakeholders. But I guess I'm just that 1%.

Because they are stans...stans do their job. They remain loyal and support their faves...even if they don't necessarily agree.
I can think of a few products I supported because of those reasons.

But have some of them tell it...people that don't see it for tidal and either express sticking with Spotify or other services...are haters.

In any regards, I hope those that subscribe to tidal like it and I hope those that stick with spotify and other services continue doing what's best for them.
