Do you not think that being gay and thinking you were born as the wrong sex are a VERY different thing and the T is not even close to the meaning of LGB to be grouped with it? What is it that ties gays and trans people together?

Yes the T is very very different and isnt about sexual preference.. Lets boycott ha.. jk. but yeah i dont think it needs to be part of LGBT. I think its a part of it because the majority of transgendered (technically) like the same-sex

It's a good question and has been a source of a lot of controversy/contention within the community for decades.

People in their defense say that trans people helped on the front lines of Stonewall, etc. and are part of the movement but others say that gender identity and sexuality should be separated and legislation like ENDA in the U.S. could've passed if gender identity was taken out.
