Michael Sam: 'I'm Not the Only Gay Person in the NFL'

After coming out last year, Michael Sam says other players in the National Football League have privately confided in him – and he's not the only one who's gay.
"The players who have reached out to me and told me about their sexual orientation, it just means a lot," he said Thursday as part of the 2015 Dallas Holocaust Museum Upstander Speaker series, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
"But I will never say anything about who they are, what teams they are [on]," he continued. "I'm just saying there's some famous people, and I'm not the only one."
Sam, 25, currently a contestant on Dancing with the Stars and the first openly gay football player to be drafted by the league, still aspires to join a team following stints last year with the St. Louis Rams and the Dallas Cowboys. After tryouts and practice squad appearances, however, neither team elevated the former Missouri standout and SEC co-defensive player of the year to their playing roster.
Yet after the Rams first drafted him as a seventh-round pick, Sam says several other players contacted him to reveal their sexual orientation.
He's milking his gay coming out for all it's worth

If he was not gonna drop names then he shouldn't have said anything, it's tacky, this will lead to speculation.
