The fight was so stupid

I mean...his character is probably the least relevant so it's only right.
Killing off anyone else, while crazy and probably awesome, would take away a huge part of the show. His character isn't important enough for his death to really effect the plot. So it makes sense.

Jamal's BF, Porsche, Tiana, Courtney Love, Halle Berry, Berretti etc all could have died...

It wouldn't have made SENSE for any of them to die though in the context of the storyline. Like prior to the finale Vernon always had issues that were shown and he and Andre already had a building issue so the fight wasn't so farfetched and Rhonda coming and doing what she did all made sense.

Ryan dying while no one would've cared wouldn't have made sense neither would Porsche since she barely there anyway. The empire artist dying would make no sense (for obvious reasons) and Berretti is the focal point of the feud he won't be going anyway no time soon.

His death was so unnecessary and uneventful. I think I understand how it connects with Lucious getting arrested but still.
