Let's assume that you are a first time buyer/renter in real estate. You are at a point where you are financially stable enough to invest in a new home/apartment/condo on your own, and you are looking for the perfect environment that satisfies your basic needs and has all of your prefered amenities.

Would you rather be around the hustle and bustle of the city? Would you instead rather live in suburbs, and not be in the center of a fast-paced environment, but a more relaxed one while being relatively close to city offerings? Or would you rather settle in a rural town, where you can buy property at the cheapest price and are completely removed from a hectic environment?

City, no question. Urban areas

I don't know if I'd choose an apartment or condo though.

ok let's see:

country: theoretically great, prices are cheaper, etc. but it's not feasable because of having to drive to work for long times makes no sense

city: theoretically great for young people, but after that the chaos and lack of privacy

suburbs: I hate them but for a standard person they are really the best option, quiet and peaceful but still close enough to work and venues etc.

The suburbs are for families and old people.

I grew up in the suburbs near the edge of the city, and I hated it. So boring.

I'd choose to live in a suburb that is still close enough to the city that I can go whenever I want.

Do not chose the Country!!! You will likely only be able to get Satellite Internet which sucks!!! We get like 10GB per month and its like $70 bucks.

We're sick of living here already.

The city. I don't think I could live not being within walking distance of most things.

Nothing happens in the suburbs and if you don't drive a car, you're screwed. Much the same for the country/rural dwellers.
