What songs that flopped/underperformed a couple of years ago could've been hits in the current pop climate, urban climate, etc.?
For example:
Rihanna - Te Amo (didn't fit at all w/ pop in 2009/10, but now I think it would've caught on 7 became another hit for her, had it been for R8)
Maroon 5 - Misery (M5 were in a career crisis mode in 2010, and were flopping everywhere. Misery's performance suffered as a result and it only peaked Top 20, being for the most part forgotten in the present. However, had this song been on V, I could imagine it being another Top 10 for them. It has that pop/rock/funk vibe that's been IT for the past 2 years, but that sound wasn't smashing back then)
