Apart from its continuing rise in ratings week-after-week, Empire has yet another reason to brag: It’s also dominating Twitter. Fox’s hip-hop primetime soap has surpassed The Walking Dead to become the TV show which averages the most tweets per episode of any series this season.
According to Nielsen Social Guide’s Twitter metrics, Empire now averages 451,270 tweets per episode, beating the AMC apocalyptic, zombie-filled drama’s average of 444,029. ABC’s Scandal comes up in third place, with 354,085 tweets per episode.
