Ciara, along with her Music Director, Kim Burse, will be conducting auditions for drummer, bass player and guitarist this Friday, March 13 in Los Angeles.
The Pop and R&B singer will be announcing her U.S. tour for her new LP, “Jackie” later this month and is seeking energetic and talented musicians for her band.
Musicians will audition to two of Ciara’s recordings, her #1 hit single “Goodies” from her debut album, and her current single “I Bet” from the forthcoming LP, “Jackie.”
“I am so excited about this tour. It has been almost 6 years since my last tour! I believe this album is my best body of work and it’s important to me that my fans have the best show experience possible. On the ‘Jackie’ tour fans will get a chance to know me more, jam to good music, and most importantly be entertained! I can’t wait,” says Ciara.
“I have been working with Ciara musically since she debuted her first album. Her strength is truly as a stage performer, which makes working with her an inviting challenge and pleasure. Her ability to continue to grow impresses me greatly. We plan to give the fans something exciting!” says Kim Burse.

Looks like Ciara is gearing up to embark upon a tour in support of her upcoming album Jackie. The musician posted a call for band member auditions on Broadway World, and the auditions will take place this upcoming Friday, March 13th. The “Goodies” songstress will be overseeing auditions alongside her longtime music director, Kim Burse, and they are looking for drummers, bass players, and guitarists.
Ciara and Burse have asked all interested musicians to prepare a performance of Ciara’s debut single “Goodies” and her current single “I Bet.” Ciara expressed her excitement to tour, stating “it has been almost six years since my last tour! On the Jackie tour fans will get a chance to know me more, jam to good music, and most importantly be entertained! I can’t wait.” Burse shared a similar excitement, adding that Ciara’s “strength is truly as a performer, which makes working with her an inviting challenge and pleasure.”
Little is known about the upcoming tour; however, the announcement did request that all performers have a passport implying that the tour may extend beyond America. Ciara is expected to make an official announcement in the coming weeks, possibly alongside an official release date for the album.
Jackie will be Ciara’s first album since 2013’s self-titled Ciara, which included the hit singles “Body Party” and her Nicki Minaj collaboration, “I’m Out.” Since the release of Ciara, the musician has experienced a lot of change in her personal life. In the two years, she announced an engagement to fellow musician Future, had her first child, and called off her engagement amidst claims of infidelity on Future’s part.
As a result of all the change, Ciara has described the album as her most personal to date, claiming that she intends to “talk openly and honestly” about her emotions. In January she revealed that the album was titled in honor of her mother. In the casting call, Ciara referred to Jackie as “her best body of work.”
Yesterday (March 9th), Ciara released the music video for Jackie’s lead single “I Bet.” The single made waves with its debut in January, and fans speculated that the singer was addressing her breakup with Future. In the Swan Lake-inspired visual, Ciara worked her way through balletic choreography while crooning the smooth breakup ballad. Not a bad start to the Jackie era.
