OMG YASSSS!!!!! I mean they won't open with 600k again (their hiatus was too long) nor will they win AOTY again but I am so thirsty for new Mumford!

If the single is good, whch s sounding like it will be, I have them opening 600k-700k. Anywhere around that would be great. There last album did 600k, right?

Yes and they also got lots of the songs in the Hot 100 thanks to streaming but their hiatus was too long plus people are used to their folk sound, this can either do good or bad.

Also they got lucky pop radio accepted IWW so well last era, I don't know if that will be the case this era.

I don't think the wait will hurt them. It was 3 years between SNM and Babel, the latter opening larger/selling about the same + winning AOTY at Grammys. Huge streamed album too, I think it's still one of the top listened daily on Spotify today.

A lot of reviews already praise their poppy hooks, so the direction change will probably benefit them more too. A non-folk approach already opens a new window of fans.

But the Sigh No More era extended for a long period of time, the Babel era was relatively short. I mean sure they released Hopeless Wanderer late but the singles after I Will Wait didn't do much in alternative. I don't know, like I said it can do well but I wouldn't get my hopes too high just yet
