It's a disappointment to me, I expected way more. (No wonder when Scot was the director )
Even I could make a better video for a song hot like this!
I hope the 2nd version will be better.
MY IDEA OF THE VIDEO:
Ashley arriving to an underground club with friends, and as she enters the blue neon light flashes through the club and the song begins. She begins to dance (a really hot choreography, not just move and stuff) and dances until the end of the 1st chorus. She goes to the next floors of the building the club is in, as she searches for the "beat" a.k.a. the neon light from the beginning of the video. During the 2nd chorus she gets dragged to a party on some floor and starts dancing (on a table, sofa, everywhere). During the bridge before the 3rd chorus, some guy starts to touch her and stuff, and when the final chorus begins, she escapes from him, but loses the beat, and is running on stairs, going to the roof (the only part where she doesn't sing), and she finally gets on the roof, and says the final words or the song looking at the "beat" which goes into the sky. One of her friends comes asks her where she's been, and she says something like "nowhere, let's go". They leave and the "beat" explodes in the sky and the building crumbles to the ground.

that's a really good concept! so much better than the original!
It's watchable, but not her best. I think Ashley needs to understand, just because you are dating a music video director, doesn't mean he has to direct every single one of your videos. All of her videos (expcept IAIO) are just performance videos. I wish she would get a better director if she decides to shoot a new video for America.
