At its peak AI was watched by an average of 30M viewers preseason. Its season finales totalled nearly 40M viewers and it was the #1 show in America for a record 7-consecutive seasons.
The voice came too late. It was good when it started but the lack of stars is alarming. American idol will always be superior cause they were first and they did it better. Not to mention american idol produced a few stars. Somethings the voice has yet to do.
