I keep seeing things about that Chris Kyle dude and everyone is calling him a hero and saying that he was protecting America and without people like him everyone would be dead from terrorists (lol) so what do you think?
I thought this said are soldiers horses at first I was like what kind of logic?
In a way they are heroes, they defend their countries from harm.. In a perfect world we wouldn't even need soldiers but this world isn't perfect unfortunately so they are needed.
Oh, I can actually join this discussion now since I saw American Sniper the other night.
Chris, if portrayed properly in the movie, is a hero. He not only protected his country, he protected his companions. Not one person he killed was innocent, no matter if the victim was a child. Those children can be as dangerous as the grown men.

Don't get it twisted.
Of course they didn't show all the bad things Chris Kyle has said/done in the movie. In his autobiography he said something about loving to kill "ragheads". The movie was basically propaganda.
Not necessarily. The question is actually incredibly complex.
i agree. i mean firefighters are called heroes all the time but they also are just doing their job. i think its really hard to answer HOWEVER people who just say that they are killing innocent people are very ignorant.
I also hate how people use the "they fight for your freedom" excuse, like.....killing innocent people in the Middle East has nothing to do with my freedom.
