Do you think going to community college is wrong? Some people say only dumb people go to community college and if you don't go to a university you shouldn't go to college at all.
No. Community college is way cheaper than university. Plus, if it meets all the requirements to get your degree, you do not have to transfer to a university and can finish it there while saving thousands of dollars.
No there's nothing wrong with it. It's a cheaper option and people normally start off there and transfer to another college later on so it's a good start and you're still getting education.
Go to whatever works best for your situation. Some people can't afford more than community college, and that doesn't mean their education is less valuable or something. Some people would rather not take on student loans, and as someone who chose to, I can tell you that they probably made a better choice than I did.
Not one bit. you get the same education for the first 2 years as at a university for cheaper. It's a lot more logical.
It's forced down people's throats that University is the only good way to get an education, but people should do whatever they're confortable with doing.
No, it's a lot cheaper than going to a university and sometimes that's the best thing for some people. You never know a person's situation. Besides, you can always transfer to a university later. One of my best friends is doing that because at the time that she needed to start applying to colleges, she still didn't know what she wanted to do, so she chose to go to community college and get all of her basic courses out of the way. Now she's transferring to a university to major in Communications. You never know a person's reasoning for going to community college, and there's nothing wrong with going to community college; at least they're getting a college education, which is vital in today's society.
I went when I was in HS but there is nothing wrong with it at all, I actually suggest it because so many kids are not ready to step out in to the world and handle college life and screw it up. Taking a year or even two of CC can't hurt you, it can save you a lot of money if that is an issue. Work with a counselor at the CC and make sure the credits you take transfer to where you want to go.
