There are gays being hunted through Grindr in Ireland and yet Women can go on Tindr to look for a boyfriend without being ashamed or in fear of being killed for it

Because they stick up for us, they should get the favour in return? Just because we dont have equal rights doesnt mean we cant help someone else achieve theirs

I literally have no idea. It's not like we're currently strong enough to fight someone else's battles, as bad as that may sound. Maybe in 10 years from now, it could be possible and I'd be all for it.

Feminists are finally recognizing the strength and power the modern gay rights movement has and are attempting to latch on to it to further their agenda.

I'm not saying the LGBT community shouldn't support equality for women (I support equal rights for everyone), but something about these comments (especially Rose McGowan's) seem so self-centered and opportunistic.

For very good reasons. It's not even that hard to understand. Why do you think gay men are more oppressed than lesbian women? Simple. Femininity is an idea that is looked down upon and is only expected to be expressed by women. When a man "downgrades" (I say downgrade because, at large, society really f****** hates women) from the expected expression of masculinity to femininity, they are incredibly harassed for it and killed in extreme cases.

This even relates to the Bible with the idea of a man laying with a woman. Why? Because the main issue is because of the idea of being an "orifice bearer," which is a role designated to women. When a man is penetrated sexually, which is supposed to be a woman's role, they are shunned for it because they're stepping out of expected gender expectations.

Women's rights are entirely about trying to break down gender roles and expectations and that works hand in hand with LGBTQ issues, especially trans issues. Anyone that doesn't see the connection is missing something. We should all be allies for one another to work towards equality.

It's simple; support both. It's not that hard.

I think it's because, like, women and gays are BOTH fighting for ground here. Their causes aren't necessarily all that different. So why not help each other?
Like, look at all the WOMEN that we look up to. The ones that stood up for us even though THEY were being treated like second-class citizens themselves. All they want is for the gay community to return the favor, and they're justified in feeling that way, tbh.

Because it's the right thing to do.I don't wanna live in a world where women don't have the same rights as men.
I don't care if they supported the gay community or not(don't get me wrong,they did and I'm thankful,but that's not the reason),It's every single human being's duty to stand for women.
