We're on season 6 and this underrated show shows no sign of letting up in quality. I think Archer is one of, if not the most, consistently funny comedies on TV right now. Let's see how other animated comedies (only gonna name 8 that come up at the top of my head, feel free to name others for comparison's sake) compare to Archer IMO:

The Simpsons: FLOP

Family Guy: FLOP

American Dad: Great show, but not as consistently funny as Archer

SouthPark: See American Dad

Bob's Burgers: FLOP

The Boondocks: See American Dad. Might have been able to stand toe-to-toe had it not been for season 4.

Brickleberry: See American Dad

Futurama: FLOP

So do we of ATRL agree that Archer is the greatest animated comedy of all time?

It's not even Jon H. Benjamin's best show or even the second best show he's done a voice for

Futurama > Bob's Burgers > Family Guy > South Park > The Simpsons > American Dad

As for Archer yes. But I personally find Panty & Stocking (dubbed) way more funnier.

Yes absolutely.

What makes said three shows superior to Archer or Boondocks? Especially with Family Guy, which has slumped to the pits for the past ten years or so.

Bob's Burgers isn't funny. It's just odd.

Whereas Family Guy has lowpoints i.e. the gore, Conway Twitty, surfin' bird, Jesus, etc. recurring bits, I've never seen an episode without a joke whereas I've seen like 8 Archer episodes without jokes. I want to like it and some episodes are cute, but it is so inconsistent.

Where Family Guy seems more inconsistent because it ranges from extremely good to mediocre, Archer seems to range from above average to unbearable.

The Boondocks just isn't funny. It lacks satirical wit and just about every other form of comedic factor. I tried to support it because it seemed like what The Cleveland Show was aiming to do (i.e. a black take on the satirical comedy shows) but whereas TCS lacks the black culture aspect, TB lacks the satire and comedy. It's like the black Venture Brothers.

Archer Vice was an all-time low though, let's not sweep that under the rug...

There are jokes on every episode of Archer, as with every other animated comedy. You may not catch on to what said jokes are, but they're certainly there. Family Guy and Archer just play on two totally different sides of the comedic spectrum. The cutaway gags are the skeleton for most, if not all, of Family Guy's humor whereas Archer is dry and quirky and relies far more on the dynamics of the characters.

I didn't mind Archer Vice at all actually. No it's not as good as season 2 or 4, but I thought it was pretty strong apart from the stale subplot with Pam. Solidly middle of the pack.

Archer is one of the BEST animated adult cartoons of all time. I've gotten so many people into it. Bob's Burgers is everything too.
