The tracks played on Radio 1 are chosen on musical merit and their relevance to our young audience on a case-by-case basis, and whilst around 40% of the country's 15 to 29-year-olds tune into Radio 1 each week, an artist's age is never a factor.
In fact, Paul McCartney currently has two tracks - 'FourFiveSeconds' and 'Only One' - on the Radio 1 playlist.
They didn't playlist her because she's not relevant to the listening audience. They said so themselves.

it's not an argument it's just a fact
also i am throwing you a bone in saying it's because she's irrelevant and not because she has no musical "merit" ie that she makes **** music, sometimes it is best to pipe down. if it's not because she's irrelevant it's because her music is very bad. IMO i'd rather people think my fave was irrelevant than bad at her job
they didn't ban Madonna for her age.
