Since I happen to live in a youthful area, there's record stores everywhere I live. And they are cheaper than CDs and iTunes. I managed to snag lps at $3-5 a pop, some singles for $1. Vinyls are way cheaper and you're supporting your community by doing it (Amazon and other retailers are over priced). Not to mention I can find something that looks cool, take it home and not know what to expect when I play it.

Go to a thrift shop, or record store and buy a used vintage one. The newer ones like Cosley and Jenson are pure crap. Ebay is a nice place too, just be careful.

Just because its like $50 at Urban Outfitters or Amazon doesn't mean its good for its price.

Nope. They just take up too much space and CDs are much more comfortable for me. Plus there are literally no stores that sell vinyls here.

They seem like more bang for your buck since the artwork and packaging are a lot bigger, but I have no record player so they'd be useless to me rn.

Buying new vinyl is so damn expensive though, an album that would be $15 on disc is like $30+ on vinyl.

I'm currently trying to collect all of Xtina's albums in Vinyl since I have all her CD's already. I give my best friend a vinyl of her favorite album every year for her birthday too.

i did give my boyfriend a vinyl of his favourite song at christmas, and a friend gave me a kate bush vinyl as a gift when he came to stay last spring. other than that, i've never really ****ed with vinyl.
