This year, the Grammys have decided to snub rap music.

Here is a list of all of their non televised awards this year:



They have decided to not televise the following awards:

• Best Rap Album
• Best Rap Song
• Best Rap Performance
• Best Rap/Sung Collaboration

Is this going to cause another racism spark? Why have the Grammys decided to do this?

I'll also note that they also won't be televising:

• Best Traditional R&B Performance
• Best R&B Song
• Best Urban Contemporary Album
• Best R&B Album

They don't televise the Latin categories and you don't see Hispanics complaining about it

She ain't winning, and if she does then that will just confirm their lack of credibility and appreciation for hip-hop music and culture.

Rap is much more known and popular in the US.

wow, they're actually only televising 9 awards.
i was going to say that rap sometimes got un-televised, like when drake won for take care on the not-televised broadcast and then he announced nothing was the same.
but wow, that was unexpected.

Rap music is more popular than Latin.

Anyways, Best Rap Album is a huge deal (Most rap albums outsell all of the pop girls' albums) and they completely snubbed the award
